How many people out there actually can answer the question, "who are you?" or "tell me about yourself", in detail?
I have been talking with some women lately who are unaware of who they are, what they like, and why they do what they do. It seems this is a common condition in society. Many people simply look to someone else to define them. They will see some trait or characteristic in someone else that they admire or think is "acceptable" and try to emulate it. Even if the trait doesn't suit their naturally given personality.
I decided one day to write down all of the things I would do if I had no limitations. This was a good way to get started in finding out what I like to do and what interests I have. Then I wrote down a list of all the things I would do for myself, if I was trying to get me, to fall in love with myself. It was a very nurturing excersize. I actually have gone down the list and have done those things for myself and have treated myself the way I would want others to treat me.
Its funny but we overlook this I think.
We get caught up in treating others well, or doing for others but neglect ourselves or treat ourselves poorly. We can't be of service to anyone else if we don't understand and take care of ourselves....how will we ever know what we have to offer?
I believe that when we know who we are, we are honoring our Creator and are available to use each and every gift that has been given to us to help others.
So....Do you know who you are?

I do know who I am - and it is beyond description - but there are levels, and some of the more concrete levels I can describe. I believe I am a loving, insightful, healthy, vibrant woman here to teach and learn the truth each day. Lately I have been enjoying the fun part of me - the part that doesn't have to hold on tight to every moment out of fear. So now I'm fluid!! Thanks for the thought provoking question.
